Long time no post! Thankyou to everyone who made it down to the Open Day, was lovely to meet you all, thank you for the feedback and for your interest in my work.

Show is open until Sunday 11th November. Please come down and have a look, show is open from 11-3pm Mon to Thurs and 11-4pm on weekends.

Surfacing - New works by Melanie Diss and Ben Mitchell

Come see my joint solo show 'Surfacing', Friday 26th October 2012 from 6 - 8pm at the Midland Junction Arts Centre

"Surfacing is a collaborative painting exhibition by 2012 Cossack Art Award category winner Melanie Diss and 2011 Cliftons Art Prize recipient Ben Mitchell. It explores random marks and imagery associated with everyday painting processes like wall painting and graffiti."

new work for Bassendean Art Award

well I'm busy finishing works for my exhibition 'Surfacing' with Ben Mitchell at Midland Junction Arts Centre in October, but I thought I'd take a bit of a break and make a completely colourful fun work, to enter into the Bassendean Art Award, hopefully it'll be on show there 26th September!

Coming soon...

I've been working on a series of landscapes, I'll be posting images soon. They are views of the land from above, my attempt to replicate the textures of the land.

I've also got two shows coming up in October, a joint solo show with Ben Mitchell at the Midland Junction Arts Centre and a group show at Ellenbrook's The Gallery, stay tuned!
